Following Jarrar’s execution, Hamas stresses on ‘right to resist’ Israeli occupation

After Israeli execution of Palestinian youth in West Bank, Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas stressed on Tuesday evening on the Palestinians’ “right to resist.”

On Tuesday at dawn, the Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Yamoun Village in the West Bank city of Jenin and shot dead the Palestinian youth Ahmed Jarrar, 22, after more than three weeks of manhunt.

Israeli occupation claimed that Jarrar was killed over manipulating the attack on the illegal Israeli Jewish settler in the occupied West Bank last month.

Hundreds of Palestinians across the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip took to the streets to condemn the Israeli execution of Jarrar, describing him an “icon of resistance.”

Addressing the demonstrators in northern Gaza city of Jabalia, senior Hamas leader Fathi Hammad said: “All these people took to the streets to hail Ahmed Jarrar, who sacrificed himself for the sake of Jerusalem.”

Meanwhile, the senior Hamas leader in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis MP Younis al-Astal said: “We blame the Israeli occupation for the consequences of its aggression on the Palestinians, their property and their holy sites.”

He added: “We stress on the right of the Palestinians to resist the Israeli occupation,” noting this is a right guaranteed by all international laws and conventions.
