Mother of Israeli soldier held in Gaza says he is alive

The mother of Israeli soldier Oron Shaul, captured by al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, during Israel’s major 2014 offensive on the Gaza Strip, has said that her son is alive.

Zehava Shaul told Yediyoth Ahronoth Israeli newspaper on Monday “As a mother, I feel deeply in my heart that my son is still alive”.

She expressed concerns over the life of her son and other Israeli captives in Gaza. She regretted staging a funeral and a 7-day consolation for her son after the tank bombing incident during 2014 summer aggression on Gaza, the mother added.

Al-Qassam Brigades announced capturing Shaul along with other Israeli soldiers during the 2014 Israeli offensive on Gaza Strip. They refuse to disclose any information about the Israeli captive’s conditions for no price.
