A group of organizations that support Palestine in Malaysia organized a solidarity stand with Palestinian prisoners who are running hunger strike in the Israeli occupation prisons.
The event included a diverse group of Palestinian community such as students and representatives from Malaysian and Palestinian communities. The event was also attended by a group of Malaysian people expressing their support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike and denouncing Israel’s repressive policies against the Palestinian people.
The event also included a speech by the deputy in the Palestinian Legislative Council, Dr. Nasir Abdul Jawad and another speech by the head of the boycott movement against Israel in Malaysia Dr. Mohammed Nazari in which he expressed the position of the Malaysians and their role in spreading awareness about the prisoners’ strike for the Malaysian people. It also included a speech by the Chairman of the Malaysian Organization (my care) which expressed the same position that the Malaysian people will continue to share with the Palestinian people in their concerns and alleviation.
The participants also participated in the challenge of drinking water and salt, which expresses support for the issue of the brave prisoners who hunger strike in the Israeli occupation prisons.
This solidarity comes within much other solidarity around the world to support the needs of the striking prisoners and to reject Israeli policies towards them.
